I've had a 4 cup Gevalia drip coffeemaker for a long time. It still works but I'm down to the last pack of your filters that I bought a few years ago. I'm told that you no longer stock the #2 filters, so I'm wondering if the 4 cup filter paper is an adequate substitute.

No - Must use the bigger #4 paper filters (or #4 perm. Cone mesh filter) to avoid any over flow

#2 filter is recommended for a 4 cup ADC. #4 filter paper may work if adjusted by cutting or rolling down BUT IS NOT RECOMMENDED

The filters in question will not fit your 12 cup coffeemaker. You can purchase the #4 Gevalia 12 Cup Filter Papers on our website under "Accessories".
