Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tea party I filled this carafe and tea set, as soon as I got it, for a coffee party with my family, which included hot chocolate for the 6 year old and Toraja special reserve for my brother, my mom and myself. It was a fun family time where we acted like Princes and Princesses, and even played Queen, since Toraja came from the King of Sweden. I purchased it for my birthday because I spend so much time writing and illustrating, I needed a hot carafe of tea or coffee on my studio table during long marathons of writing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for the price! I ordered this to have tea with my 4 & 2 year old granddaughters. It is nice enough to be elegant, but priced where if something gets damaged, it is nothing to get upset about. The girls love pouring from the tea pot and using a sugar cube tong to put sugar cubes in their drinks. We have really enjoyed it.

More an annoyance than a question

I recently received my 15-peice tea set, but it is stamped all over the box an boxed accessories that it is a "coffee set." I purchased this as a gift for someone who wanted a tea set and I feel I will look a bit rude when I present, instead, a "coffee set."
Asked by: Kandis
I actually think it seems like more of a coffee set, because of the shape of the teapot. (Not that anything would prevent someone from using the set for tea. Although the cups seem kinf of huge for tea.) I really like it. It's easy to find tea sets, but you don't see as many coffee sets out there.

Is there a tea filter in the teapot to place the tea leaves in and make the tea?

Asked by: tealover
No - I think it is more of a coffee set. But you could use your own filter or tea ball to brew tea in the pot.

Size of cups

How many ounces do the cups hold?
Asked by: ktjordan07
6-8 oz. 6 oz will avoid spills. This is how I usually fill. You can always serve more later. 7 oz OK for steady hands 8 oz is to the rim. I don't fill to the rim. Spill and burn risk.
