Signature blend is perfect. Gevalia signature blend is my favorite k-cup coffee! April 9, 2014
Great Taste I drink Decaf most of the time, so finding a good tasting coffee in decaf isnt easy. This coffee tastes great in decaf just like the regular. It works great in the Keurig machine. April 7, 2014
Can't tell the difference Some people say they can taste the difference between decaf coffee and regular. Well, this brew tastes as good as any other Gevalia selection I've made. I'm enjoying it! March 30, 2014
The product is excellent One of the best decaf k cups I have tried. It smells wonderful when brewing and the coffee is smooth with no bitter taste...not too mild and not too strong. The price is excellent for the quantity you receive and I like the convenience of home delivery. March 28, 2014
Wonderful! This coffee was introduced to me by a friend and I love it!!! It's hard to find a decaf that tastes good, but this one does! I recommend it! March 17, 2014
Great taste I love this coffee in the morning with any of my flavored creamers. It is also a great value! March 15, 2014
Love the convenience We just recently purchased a coffee machine that requires this type of pods. We did not make this purchase until we made sure Gevalia offered a decaf pod version of our favorite brew. We have been enjoying Gevalia coffee for years and will continue to do so. Can't wait for more decaf flavored pods to be offered. March 3, 2014
Great taste without being bitter The wife likes Decaf Coffee that isn't strong and bitter. This coffee fits the bill perfectly. She's happy, so I'm happy. March 1, 2014

BAGGED VS. K-CUPPED COFFEE

I'm trying to figure out which is more cost efective, whether buying the k-cups, or buying the bagged coffee. However, in the bag, you can tell the net coffee weight, because it's all ground coffee within it. Yet, in the k-cup, the net weight stated in the box is 6.2 oz, what would make almost 3 18Ct boxes to make up a lb of coffee, whereas, with bagged coffee it would take 2 8-oz bags to conform a lb of coffee. This would be, cost-wise, roughly $30 for the k-cups, Vs. only $16 for bagged coffee.
Does my analysis make any sense? Or, am I ommitting any critical difference (i.e., the coffee concentration) between the two venues?

Answer:
I would say the bagged coffee is more cost effective, but you have to consider the convenience of K-cups. Which is most important to you? In my opinion there is no difference in the strength of the coffee. It all depends on how much water you use. I buy both kinds!

Answer:
It makes sense. You do pay more for K-cups but you are paying for ease of use, the ability to switch flavors/ brands with each cup and no mess clean-up. Of course, you can use ground coffee with your K-cup machine so if you don't mind the hassle you can save a bunch.

Answer:
not sure overall, but this deal with the K cups can't be beat. It is about 1000 times easier to make the coffee and with this deal, if it is a few pennies more, it is so well worth the cost!!!!!

An 18 count box of single serve cups would make 18 cups of coffee. An 8 ounce bag of coffee makes approximately 23 servings.

Answer:
Caffeine content also depends on how "bold" the coffee is. If we take it across the whole spectrum, coffee contains between 75 and 150 mg. of caffeine per 8 oz. cup, depending on the roasting strength and other factors. It is difficult to measure the nutritional content of coffee, because it varies depending on many things. Generally, the darker the coffee is roasted, the less caffeine it contains.

Almost all decaffeinated coffees still contain some caffeine. The international standard by which decaffeinated coffee is characterized is by having at least 97% of the caffeine removed. Decaf coffee should fall somewhere in the range of 2 to 4 mg. per 8 oz cup.

Answer:
Thank you for asking. Gevalia uses the supercritical carbon dioxide decaffeination process. Green coffee beans are exposed to carbon dioxide at high pressure and an elevated temperature for a determined period of time to remove most of the coffee’s caffeine. The pressure is then reduced and the coffee (decaffeinated green coffee) is ready for further processing -- roasting and grinding. There are no additional chemicals used.

Decaffeinated coffees contain no more than 0.1% caffeine in the finished coffee, which results in a consumer intake of 2-3 mg of caffeine per 6 oz. serving.

Have a great day.
