These simply scrumptious chops put the sass in summer. Brewed Gevalia coffee adds an earthy note to the glaze, which is a breeze to prepare. It tastes great brushed on chicken, salmon and pork tenderloins, too!

Here's our foolproof method: |
| • Brew a very strong pot of your favorite Gevalia coffee by using less water than you normally use. We |
recommend filling your coffee maker to the 8 cup level and using 12 slightly rounded tablespoons of ground coffee. Do not exceed 12 tablespoons of coffee or the filter basket may overflow. |

• Add sweetener to the entire pot when the coffee is hot! It dissolves better! |
| • Let carafe cool to room temperature then pop the coffee into a sealed container and refrigerate. |
| • Pour chilled coffee in a glass filled with ice, add a dash of cream - and maybe a straw! Makes 8 servings. |

George Clisura never planned to become a coffee expert. He was teaching part time when he took a temporary position at a coffee plant in Hoboken, N.J. and discovered he loved the work. That was 30 years ago. Today, as a product developer for Gevalia, George roasts, grinds and tastes different beans to find the story the coffees have |

Coffee is grown all over the world so there’s always a story. I find it when I roast a coffee type from light to dark to explore the differences and pinpoint a particular flavor characteristic. When roasted to different colors, coffee reveals a variety of flavor notes: fruity, spicy or chocolate for example. Roasting also helps develop the intensity of taste. |

I take care even when I brew my morning pot of coffee and adjust to the strength that works for me, depending on what coffee I’m using. It’s important to keep air out of the coffee when you store it. I use a mason jar with a rubber seal and stash it in the fridge. Brew strength matters so you have to find your preference. For everyday, I like our Traditional Roast brewed strong or Breakfast Blend at moderate strength. One is smooth the other bold and they both stand up to milk. Select Varietal Colombia makes a delicious cup, floral and fruity, I drink it black! |
