Works, with an odd taste
It does all its supposed to do, brews quickly, faster than several other coffee pots I've had over the years. Auto timer is excellent for those who have trouble waking up in the morning. However, the plastic used in this coffee pot leaves a taste in the coffee, I have ran vinigar and water through it 3 times and it still lingers weeks after recieving it. You may be better off purchasing one of gevalia's better coffee makers.

worst thing out there .. leakage
had it about 3 months and it leaks ... to make a 10 cup pot you have to add 6 cup of water before brewing ends this is second machine to do this both same type a $9.99 coffee maker could do a much better job and grounds in the coffee like crazy ... filter basket too big for # 2 but too small for # 4 cone filter ... NEVER AGAIN ...

Not a good product at any price.
Used the coffee maker for less than one month before the lid broke. Bought as a sale item so of course out of warranty. Not a good value at any price.

Defective product
I have had two of these coffeemakers and both had the same issues. They quit running in the middle of brewing a pot of coffee and/or they shut off right at the end of brewing. Both of these lasted about two months at best.

Great Product!!!!
We received this coffee maker approximately 9 years ago and have used it almost everyday since then. It has performed great until recently. It turns itself on and off and the clock/program function are going haywire and don't work anymore. We have to unplug it between uses. We will probably get a new coffee maker due to the concern of a fire but this coffee maker has been excellent. I can't believe it has lasted as long as it has. Great job Gevalia!!

This product was a "free gift"...
I understand that things change, as the company grows larger and gets more ppl that subscribe. However, coffee makers and the mug, like this product, were a "free gift" given when joining. There was also a dark green.

Too many grounds in my cup
I have had this coffee maker for about 2 months and we have had nothing but problems with it. At first we had problems with the coffee getting everywhere but the carafe. We figured out pretty quickly that you have to be very careful about how you put the carafe in to make sure the coffee doesn't overflow as noted by others as well. Now we can't seem to find the magic touch to not have a ton of coffee grounds in the carafe. We have tried different filters, less grounds, how we put the filter in, etc. Keep in mind, we never make more than 8 cups at a time. I love the ease of programming and how quickly it brews, but I really don't enjoy chunks in my coffee in the morning!!

great coffee maker
This a great coffee maker the only problem is that after about two weeks the glass container busted and I can't find a replacement. I would recommend this maker to anybody that drinks coffee as I drink at least 12 cups every morning!

Hi! I just saw your question today. I have found that any pot can deliver good coffee if you start with good basics. First store your coffee in as cool a place you can. Some say the fridge and I tend to agree. Start with COLD fresh water. We have a spring well and I let it run a minute or so. Some use store bought gallons and that can work also if you have distasteful water as long as it is cold. The reason for the cold water has to do with oxygen in cooler water producing better taste and it is true!! Obviously a clean pot and reservoir for the water is key to the better tasting coffee. And most important is the coffee itself!! Research brands and experiment until you find one that suits your tastes best and ENJOY!!!! Mrs.T aka...coffeemamaAge: 55-64

What size coffee filter does this maker use? Is it a #2, #4 cone filter or is it a regular filter??
I would like to purchase on of the re-useable filters but without this information I can't possibly know which one to buy!!!
