Keeps coffee fresh I love this canister. We have one in black and it does do a great job of keeping the coffee fresh. We usually only grind Gevalia coffee 1/2 lb. at a time unless we are going to have house guests. Unfortunately, we have broken the lid. Would love to have another new canister in black (or replacement lid)or burgundy/ dark red. We have a silver metal one but the lid never fit properly so we use the canister for wooden spoons. May 12, 2013
Excellent canister for coffee. I purchased this canister about 3 or 4 month ago and have enjoyed using it since. It's a nice addition to my counter and great for storing my Gevalia coffee. January 11, 2013
Beautiful Canister! I love these canisters! I have 2 of these canisters, one in Cobolt Blue & one in Dark Green. They keep your coffee fresh and are very pretty. I wish they would bring back the different colors again. I would like a red one. PLEASE bring back the colored canisters!!!!!!!!!! July 27, 2012

The canister is 8 inches in height without the top, 9 inches with the top. It's about 17 1/2 inches around. It will hold at least two packages of ground Gevalia coffee.

It appears so but hopefully Gevalia will consider producing it in other colors. I have an older model with a hinged attached porcelain top in forest green which I still use and would prefer this color to the cream. But I do very much like the cream canister that they are still offering.

What's the knob height and ease of use?

Knob looks small and low, so I'm wondering how easy it is to break the silicon seal and lift the lid using this knob? Looks like it would be a struggle, maybe even chipping the canister in the process? Is the white canister easier to open? (I don't think it looks as elegant as the cream canister, though.)

The knob height is about 1 inch and is easily removed from the canister. This is my experience with the one I purchased which would make me purchase another if I needed it. This is for the cream canister. Not sure about the white one.
