Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 22 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best all around This is the best glass coffee canister I have ever had. It is air tight, but still easy to lift the lid. Keeps my coffee as fresh as when I opened it. Love it! November 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by A Nice Way to Keep Coffee Fresh This product is every bit as nice as advertised. It has an elegant look to it. I would also be interested in a white option, perhaps even a larger capacity. November 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Attractive This canister is not only attractive, but useful for many things. I have one of the older coffer canisters that Gevalia used to give away, when you tried their coffee. It must be 20-25 yrs old now, and is still working beautifully. It has the clasp like the mason jars have. I actually bought this one for other uses, probably for teabags. It doesn't seem to be quite as air tight as the old one. November 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Coffee Canister I have three of these - word of warning - if you drop them they do break. I'm replacing the shattered one. Wish it still came in white to match the set I have - but I have decided to put cookies in the "cream colored" one and move the others together on the other counter - "on a fast horse no one will notice". I love these canisters and I do keep coffee in one, tea in one, and cookies in one. As a test - cookies always stay fresh which tells me the coffee and tea are also fresh. Please put white back on the list. I have bought several gift items and related products - all worth the price. and I would recommend all of them to everyone including my best friend. Rated 5 out of 5 by SWEET GEVALIA I HAVE 4 OF THE OLD ONES BLACK RED AND WHITE AND THEY ARE JUST BRAND NEW. JUST WONDERFULL. I LOVE THEM!!!. October 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Seals great! Have one of the older blue ones, so I know it is going to serve me for a long time to come. October 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product and value This is a really good cannister and I use them for coffee. That way can have various blends "open" at same time and they stay fresh. September 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it!! I have purchased 3 of these canisters. Not only are they great for coffee, I also have sugar in one and they look so pretty on the shelf. Would definitely recommend purchasing this item. July 14, 2014

Answer:
I hand wash mine just for safety reasons. I would worry that the rubber ring would get damaged from the heat of the dishwasher.

Answer:
I did wash the original canister in the dishwasher, so I am assuming this can also go in. I don't think I will use the dishwasher with this one. It is so easy to just hand-wash. Why risk fading the Trademark from the vigorous washing it would get in the dishwasher.

Answer:
The canister is 8 inches in height without the top, 9 inches with the top. It's about 17 1/2 inches around. It will hold at least two packages of ground Gevalia coffee.

What's the knob height and ease of use?

0points
0out of 0found this question helpful.
Was this helpful?helpful0unhelpful0
Knob looks small and low, so I'm wondering how easy it is to break the silicon seal and lift the lid using this knob? Looks like it would be a struggle, maybe even chipping the canister in the process? Is the white canister easier to open? (I don't think it looks as elegant as the cream canister, though.)

Answer:
I haven't actually measured the height of the knob, but I can tell you that it's very easy to open, yet keeps a good seal. I have the cream color one, and I really love it!

Answer:
The knob height is about 1 inch and is easily removed from the canister. This is my experience with the one I purchased which would make me purchase another if I needed it. This is for the cream canister. Not sure about the white one.
