Rated 5 out of 5 by Gets the job done! The descaling lights went on my Tassimo coffee machine. I went online to purchase this product. It arrived quickly, within a few days. Did a great job. Lights off and machine is working great. Coffee tastes great. Have three more packets left for the next times. June 17, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by Product neceessary to maintain good coffee making Must follow directions - run 4 times as instructed May 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fabulous I tried other descaling products to include vinegar and water; however, nothing worked. The first time I used this product it cleaned my Tassimo single-cup coffee maker and cleaning light turned off. This product is highly recommended above other descaling products on the market. Rated 5 out of 5 Great product This is a simple, easy to use product and does a perfect job in a short amount of time. It's relatively inexpensive. I couldn't ask for anything more. February 24, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Wasted my money I used the product as directed and the system still shows a descaling issue. Probably time to get another system. February 12, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Descaling It was pretty easy - just insert the disc with a full jug of mix and it descales automatically. About a cup of fluid each sequence of the run. I got by with a small cup and emptied it each time there was a short run. January 8, 2015

My brewer is only 3 months old.I had to descale it using the powder provided in this website. It took me a long time to clean and rinse the tank, but the descale light is still on.I just called customer service and they told me to brew a cup of coffee to check if the unit is still working. The coffee is ok,but I don't think the light should stay on.How am I going to find out when I need to descale it again?Did this problem happen to anyone else??

Answer:
Had exact same problem until I read the "fine print" on the descaler powder instructions. Make sure you mix descaling powder with correct amount of water. "Dezcal" packets for example call for 32 oz of water, which is much less than one full Tassimo container.

Answer:
for it to work you must mix powder with one quart water.
remove filter in water tank and the part liner with it
fill the mixed solution, be sure the powder is dissolved.
place tank, insert orange disk cleaner with bar code down.
close and hold down the button until the light starts to pulse on and off. when this happens the machine will run on and off with out further pushing and will run by itself for about 20 minuets.
be patient and let it do its thing when the tank is empty the red cleaning light should stop. add fresh water (filled the tank full) and let it run pulsing when necessary. til its empty.
my tank holds two quarts and that is enough to rinse it.
the light will go out. I found this out the hard way and wasted two solutions. Hold down the button till it starts to clean itself. good luck, and happy holidays......

Answer:
When you have inserted the plastic cleaning disc and added the cleaning solution to the tank, be sure to PUSH AND HOLD the brewing button in for several seconds until the unit starts the cleaning cycle before releasing the button. If you just push and release the button, it will not begin the 20 min. cleaning cycle. It will just brew one cup of hot water and the red light will remain on. The light goes off only after going through the entire 20 min cleaning cycle and all the cleaning solution. Also monitor the liquid level in the container you use to catch cleaning solution. The cleaning solution packet makes one quart of fluid, so you will probably have to empty your container midway through the cycle.

Answer:
Did you try turning if off for 10 minutes? Also check the hole at the bottom of where the water tank sits on the machine. Maske sure that it is clear and has no debris. Also you can wash or clean some of the removable parts.

Answer:
Try gently cleaning the bar code reader with a soft damp cloth then gently dry with a soft cloth. I had the same issue when I first bought my T55. I finagled with it for a bit then I tried the cloth trick. Viola' it worked! Good luck I love mine

Answer:
Hi David just going through the questions and saw yours We are not supposed to use Vinegar as it's so corrosive to the other parts of the machine.. That's what I've read so far.. only the powder descalers you find at Walmart say in the Coffee brewer Tassimo section.. I will be doing it fairly soon I'm sure as we have hard water in our city.. Best of luck ..

Answer:
That is a great question, Madison! We recommend using Dezcal to descale your Tassimo brewer. Unfortunately, we do not have information on Durgol. We do not recommend using this product because we cannot guarantee it will not damage the brewer. We hope this helps. Thanks for reaching out!
