Rated 1 out of 5 by Lacked flavor; odd color The house blend tasted bland, and the the brewed coffee looked rather muddy. We were NOT impressed with this coffee. August 23, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great morning coffee My Swedish wife really enjoys it throughout the day! April 5, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by my favorite coffee I cannot say enough great things about Gavalia coffee and the equivalent decaf coffee. My only problem is with the packaging. It would be helpful if the green mark for decaf was returned to a line across the package for easier identification since I use both regular and decaf. Also I am not able to open the package by hand. It is necessary for me to cut the bag open and it is right at the fasteners. It would be nice if there was a better space between the seal and the openers. Recently I was able to purchase the larger bag of the regular coffee and that is even more convenient. March 31, 2016

Answer:
Great question. The valve is a standard feature of coffee sold in bags that allows for freshness; the process of roasting and grinding coffee beans causes naturally-occurring gases to form. The valve allows only these gases to escape – another natural part of the process – but it does not allow air or debris to get in. Thanks for asking.

I'm a junior Biochemistry major currently working on an experiment over caffeine consumption. We are tallying the weekly caffeine consumption of every member in our class, and at least two of us drink Gevalia.
Thank you!

When are you going to put your delicious House Blend in Kcups? It's my favorite coffee anywhere but I'm tired of making my own. We need the House Blend decaf in Kcups, too, please! It's the only coffee I can drink in the evening before bed, love your Swiss water method of removing the caffeine.
