Since this is being discontinued, how can your Master Tasters possibly recomment I try Toraja?? Have they really tasted both? Toraja is a dark roast! Karoma, which is medium roast, does not have Dark Roast characteristics, that I can find, AT ALL!
I am sad that you are discontinuing my favorite Karoma Estate coffee. I will probably stay with you guys a bit longer, but you keep discontinuing my favorites, or change roasts on me. I originallly loved Mohring and swtiched to pea berry and now Karoma. I will try Columbia. But if you discontinue it, I am going to close my account an just have to go buy from a roaster. I don't want to. Believe me. I can't pay your prices plus shipping for everyday quality grocery store quality coffees. Please listen to us.

Very smooth, with an interesting taste that reminds me of roasted cashews. I love this coffee. I've tried many by Gevalia, and after reading the reviews for this one, I decided to give it a try. It costs a little more than the others, but it's worth it. I am so disappointed that it's being discontinued! As a side note, I had it in my mug at work. The lid was off, so the aroma was able to escape. When I walked over to my colleague's cubicle, she said, "WHAT is that? It smells INSANE!" I told her that it tastes as insane as it smells, and wrote the name down on a post-it note so that she can order it! I didn't even have anything added to it - I drink it black - the aroma is just wonderful.

I tried this on a whim (I believe Gevalia sent it to me to try), but now I am hooked. This coffee is now neck-and-neck with my other favorite, Mocca Java. It's a bit pricey, but well worth it. Flavor is strong, but not bitter. My favorite kind of coffee. Satisfying, a real pleasure to drink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TexasKatWoman Flowery undertones, wine aftertaste
I have tried every variety of the Estate coffees. I like the pure taste of just the bean for my coffee. (the only exception being Blueberry Creme, alas).Of the Estate Coffees only two are almost neck in neck, but this one, this one has the edge for top place. It has the complexity that so many use to describe their coffees in other places than Gevalia, and this one delivers all that Gevalia states and far more. The top notes are floral and linger for a few moments, but the bottom and residual note is like that of a fine wine. I dearly wish not to recommend it as it is an extremely limited production, but I must. It is utterly delicious.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Blazinpistol Reminds me of Dessert in Germany
I don't usually write reviews. But, I am making an exception on this coffee. I have tried many coffees over the years, and although I think the regular Gevalia lines are not as good as they used to be. This is the coffee offering that has kept me on the autoship list. I have been buying from Gevalia since the early 80's, and like a rich coffee with a very smooth finish. This is, by far, my favorite offering from Gevalia. It reminds me of when I lived in Germany and we used a hand grinder to grind our beans for dessert with our special friends. This coffee is great for drinking any time of day, when you want a rich smooth cup of coffee. It always begs me for another cup!
