A new find for me and now a new favorite!
I was looking for something stronger that mixes great with chocolate, this coffee really is smooth yet strong enough to mix with chocolate and both flavors come through & balance nicely.
This has become a new regular purchase for me.

Nothing fancy here
I rate this coffee as a 2, on a 1-5 scale. I found the coffee on the bitter acid side. I'm also not a fan of dark roast, so that could be the reason. Adding my normal half and half didn't improve it.

I love this coffee!
This is a really great coffee. I some times mix it 50/50 with decaf, and it still holds that rich, full flavor that I enjoy.

This one is special.
I had almost completely stopped buying Gelvalia coffee's; it was just too expensive for my taste:) But then I found this little gem among all the others and can't seem to resist it!
I try to keep a little around for those days when I need to feel pampered and have something a little special:)

Milder than expected
We enjoy dark, bold coffee... this was good coffee, but for our taste it was thin and the beans were lighter and dryer than what we were looking for.

Favorite Coffee!
The Velvet Noir is by far the favorite coffee in my house. We make sure we get two boxes with each auto-ship order. It's strong without being overpowering and has a great flavor. I highly recommend this coffee!

The bestest coffee ever
This is obviously my favorite. The delicious aroma wakes me up in the morning and oh am I happy to drink this coffee. it's just perfectly balanced, satisfying and refreshing whether hot or iced. Lovely.

Best coffee ever!
This is the best coffee I have ever had. I don't usually like dark roast but this is so smooth. It's inbelievable! Gevalia has outdone themselves. Thank you so much for this coffee!

An average coffee
This tasted bland to me. I like a dark roast most of the time, and this one just did not satisfy. Gevalia has many great tasting coffees, and many people like this one, but in my opinion, it is not as flavorful as the others.

A very smooth taste
Normally I am a dark roast woman, but this coffee was so wonderful. We received it as a special offer and I immediately fell in love with it.

This is now my favorite.
My husband and I have tried several selections of Gevalia coffee through the years. We have been die-hard lovers of the Traditional and the Breakfast Blend until I added Velvet Noir to our collection. It's full bodied flavor, distinct aroma and surprisingly smooth taste has me hooked. I bought ten on my very next shipment. My husband still loves our usual for daily comsumption (he drinks one to two pots of coffee daily), but for me, Velvet Noir is what I consider a fine cup of coffee. It's my personal favorite; "my time" coffee.

Only OK
The coffee is indeed dark and smooth, but the taste isn't much better than bland. Better with breakfast than it is by itself. If you like dark roasts or unique coffee flavors, then avoid this one.

Regular and Decaf are both exceptional!
Wonderful coffee! Love that first morning cup of regular brew to start the day and finishing the day with a relaxing cup of decaf!

Smooth and Rich
I had been looking for a rich, smooth, full-bodied coffee for awhile when I tried Velvet Noir. It is excellent and we now have it sent on a regular basis.

Addictive
This summer I changed my auto order and added the Velvet Noir. My neighbor smelled the aroma of the Velvet Noir brewing and came over to inquire. We sat down had a cup and created a new Gevalia customer. The smooth rich flavor is addictive.

Best coffee ever!
