This is my favorite choice when it comes to coffee.
After finding Royal Vintar, I drink it all day, which makes my taste buds very happy: real coffee flavor. The aroma makes it hard to wait for the unique taste.
It's the only blend I plan to buy from now on.

Milder than expected
We are trying several dark roasts looking for a full body with rich aroma coffee... this one is not it.

Over-rated Just Average
I ordered this based on other reviews and I was not as impressed as others. It's just a good average coffee to me. I love a real unique, rich, hearty, smooth flavor and this was just common. Plus it was a little more money than the others I purchased so I expected more. Gevalia has many more that are a lot better. I don't recommend this but I would still say It's worth a try.

Not a bold dark
I was very disappointed. This is NOT a bold dark coffee. The French Roast is a bold dark coffee, NOT Royal Vinter. It is weak and insipid. It doesn't even LOOK dark.

Excellent Dark Roast
I started getting this coffee when it was offered during the holidays, and was disappointed that I couldn't get it all year. Now I can, so I will. It's a dark roast, with perfect flavor, never too strong. Full bodied, never bitter. I give it to guests when I have them over and they always love it. I'm so glad that it's now available more often, although I did enjoy the anticipation of receiving it during the holidays!

Very Rich
This coffee is very rich and full flavored, wonderful blend! I've tried Stockholm Roast and Velvet Noir but this is hands down my favorite one.

A Luxurious Staple
I first encountered Royal Vinter about 15 years ago when I sent out several as Christmas gifts and got such tremendous responses that I had to try it myself. At the time, it was only available suring the holiday season so I had to wait to order it.
It was worth every second of the wait! This is a full-flavored, medium to heavy-bodied coffee with a great aroma and a clean, lingering finish. If you like coffee (even a little) you will LOVE Royal Vinter!

this is the absolute best coffee!
i have lost track the amount of years i've enjoyed this coffee . i accepted the offer the 1st time i got it and have enjoyed it myself ,as well as giving it as Christmas gifts for years.

Superb coffee!
First tried this coffee several years ago when it was featured only as a "holiday" blend. Was quite disappointed when it was not available year-round, but delighted to find that it can now be ordered on a regular basis over the full course of a year. It's a brew that always elicits many favorable comments from guests whenever I serve it. It's my Sunday morning "splurge" as well. Definitely one of the best coffees around!

Exquisite
If a coffee could be perfect, this is the one. The blend is so perfect, I look forward to my coffee in the morning. I have friends that "drop by" and ask if coffee is on. Needless to say, I always make a pot.

Drinking luxury...
Royal Vinter is like drinking pure luxury in coffee form! It is a rich, warm flavor... not at all "just coffee", this is the Rolls Royce of coffee!! I like to dress it up with a bit of cream & sweetener (either raw sugar or equal, no aftertaste to spoil this perfect flavor!!!!) The spice is also nice as the added spices do not over power the original flavor. :-)

Best Flavor and Aroma
This has to be the best coffee I have ever tasted. I have been around the world and have had many types and flavors. The Royal Vinter is by far the Best Ever.

Perfect Blend

Royal Vinter: hmmmm. Simply the best combination of fine beans from around the world to achieve the best possible combination of body and aroma, with low acidity. Gevalia rates this one as 4/5 on Intensity. 4/5 on Body and 3/5 on Acidity. It's truly a unique blend & eventhough Gevalia describes this as 'spicy', I didn't feel it to be overwhelming. I guess definition of spice/spicey varies from individual to individual. In my opinion, there's probably nothing I would add nor subtract from the overall taste/aroma of this blend. It is as close to perfection as the best cup of coffee can get.
I take my coffee french pressed with coffee mate & sugar. For those times when I feel over-indulgent, I take with Half & Half, but only when coffees tend to be a little stronger.
This is by far the best bang for the buck when it comes to gourmet coffees though you can get coffees from Gevalia for as much as $80/pound.
This Royal Vinter may seem over-priced when compared to grocery store blends. However, this is one of the finest coffee names in the whole world - good enough to be appointed to his majesty the King of Sweden. In actuality, you can spend $7 easily in Starbux and get one serving. This in comparision is a great value considering you get over 30 servings for an 8 ounce brick #7grams for rounded Tablespoon/6oz Water# of Gevalia coffee. From one coffee lover to the next, cheers!

A Very Special Blend
I have enjoyed Royal Vinter since the first time I received it from Gevalia several years ago. I am very particular about my coffee and I drink my coffee black to taste the flavor. I enjoy this special blend of flavors --- bold yet just the right touch of spice. This is the perfect coffee for the holidays (or anytime for that matter) and it is wonderful gift for coffee lovers!

Best in class
I don't have the discriminating palate to describe the taste, but I know what I like. Of all the flavors of Gevalia coffee I've tried, the Royal Vinter (haven't tried the spiced version yet) is my favorite. The taste is not overwhelming like most of the "flavoured" types, but it's just bold enough to make the morning ritual a little special.

Exceptional Blend
This is easily one of my favorite blends I have ever had from Gevalia or any other roaster. I love the just right amount of intensity, boldness and light to medium bitterness of this blend. The hint of spiceness tops this off to make it a excellent blend for the Winter months or anytime for me. I prefer my coffee dark, ibold & intense but not bitter or burnt like Southern European roast. I have it with just enough milk or half n half to be dark brown and sugar to bring out the sweetness of the subtill hidden flavors of the pacticular roasts.

a little spicy but rich
if you like the spicy taste of cinniamon you should give this coffee a try . a little much for my taste but if you have strong taste buds you will love the bold taste of cinniamon and caramel.

This is my favorite choice when it comes to coffee.

Over-rated Just Average
I ordered this based on other reviews and I was not as impressed as others. It's just a good average coffee to me. I love a real unique, rich, hearty, smooth flavor and this was just common. Plus it was a little more money than the others I purchased so I expected more. Gevalia has many more that are a lot better. I don't recommend this but I would still say It's worth a try.

Not a bold dark
I was very disappointed. This is NOT a bold dark coffee. The French Roast is a bold dark coffee, NOT Royal Vinter. It is weak and insipid. It doesn't even LOOK dark.

Very Rich
