Gevalia Teas are all about soothing your body and spirit with delicate and seductive flavors. Our aromatic selection of black teas, green teas, herbal teas, organic tea and white tea are cultivated in prime growing regions and personally tasted and selected by our own Tea Master. To create Gevalia’s 19 exquisite blends, we select only the top two leaves and the bud (the premium part of the tea plant) of the Camellia sinensis bush.
Brewing Tips for the Best Cup
As Tea Master Barry Cooper states, "The Chinese use a beautiful phrase when referring to brewing tea: 'the agony of the leaf.' The agony of the leaf refers to the time in which the leaf is unfurling and releasing its precious oils into the liquor."
Brewing tea properly is a matter of tea, water, time and temperature.. We use 2.5 grams of tea in most of our Gevalia tea bags and this is a good amount of tea for a 6-10 ounce cup of water (depending on how strong you like it).
