Great usage
I got my Stainless Steel Gevalia coffee maker over 5 years ago, it has worked perfectly. The only thing that I didn't like, was when I cleaned the front of the coffee maker( where the options are for menu,program, etc), and the lettering rubbed off!! So now I can't see what's what. I only used a damp dish cloth with a little drop of dish detergent. Can Gevalia send me a label with the lettering that I can attach? That's a good idea!!

I love this product
I have used this product for many years. I just recently broke my carafe. I am disappointed that it is out of stock at this time. I haven't been able to find a replacement, yet. It's been a long week, whew!! This product has been a special part of my mornings for at least 7 plus years. I am determined to get a replacement carafe. This product survived a kitchen fire 5 years ago and continued to work without any problems!!! I truly beleive in taking care of what takes care of me. I will get a replacement carafe. This product has become a part of my life that I can depend on no matter what. Thanks, Gevalia. Please help me continue my enjoyment of a great cup of java each day.

Does not work
We took the unit out of the box and it came on briefly and then quit. It will not work at all now.. I would not recommend this unit to anyone. Waste of money!

Great durability, great features, high quality.
I have had this machine for 5 years with no problems. I love the coffee, I love the machine and have not one complaint. I even have my picky in-laws sending me the coffee flavors they do not enjoy (the acidity is a problem for them, is all, in the darker roasts) and so I luck out and have all of the coffee I could ever need. I don't anticipate ever having to buy another machine. Any other reviewers who have had problems should have called customer service, because they would have been taken care of immediately.

Love the product, but has major flaw in my opinion.
I have had the coffee maker for a month now and have one complaint. Why is the window for seeing and setting brew time NOT BACKLIT?! This is a major pain because I [you] have to get crouched down in front of it in order to see the numbers and set the start time for brewing. I am wondering if MY unit has a 'glitch/defect' ie every other one has a backlight? I have owned and given as gifts MANY programmable coffee makers and this is the first company I have ever seen that didn't include this feature.

FANTASTIC!!
I, grudgingly, ordered the Gevalia coffee/ free coffeemaker kit about 4-5 years ago. Wiped out the coffee in short order and have been using my free coffeemaker all this time probably 4-5 years. What a bargain that was! I accidentally bashed into my "must-have," solid-granite countertop with it the other night and it only broke into a thousand pieces until it came into contact with my "gotta-have," overpriced, porcelain-tile, kitchen floor when it went from a thousand to a couple million more or less pieces. So I have to order another pot, bless my heart. Unlike some contributors, believe it or not-(omg what e discovery for mankind) there are ways to get hot, fresh coffee out of the maker into a CONTAINER until you can afford to replace your expired one, which I have been doing for about a week until I get paid again. No I won't reveal this deep, marvelous secret, you are doomed to throw on clothes and stumble to the convenience store for your first cup because 98%- no thats too generous, 99.5% of us are so brainwashed into thinking that whenever there is a blip in our daily routine with our marvelous gadgetry, life ceases right then and there.
Try stepping out of your comfort zone occassionally folks and living your life for a few minutes or hours or a day now and again in the "what if I didn't have this or that," what would I do? What did my grandparents do? It is VERY refreshing and encouraging because with a little thought and engenuity(sp.?) you will be amazed what you can live quite comfortably without, or by simply finding a parallel method of doing something. I digress.

I found that the Mr. Coffee 12-cup replacement carafe works perfectly fine with Gevalia coffee makers. I bought one at Meijer but they sell them at many different stores for around $10.00 -$12.00. They come in black and white to match most coffee makers.7 months ago

Does this carafe replace the carafe for the C60A Deluxe White Plastic Model? I was reading some of the question/answers and one person says "No" and it looks like a Gevalia representative says "Yes". I don't want to order one just to send it back because it didn't fit.
