    TASSIMO T55
    Single Cup Brewing System
    $169.99
Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 114 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Foamy top to lattes My morning latte is very important to me and this new machine creates a very attractive and delicious drink. For nine years, I had another Tassimo brewer and it worked well but the parts finally started to go so it was time for a new brewer. Very happy with this one. If you want to go beyond basic coffee, this is the perfect machine for you! May 22, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it! I have worn two of the units out through the year, so this is number three. That should say it all. Cannot find a machine that does it all like this one. May 8, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Tassimo I have tassimo I have used for about 15 Years never had a problem until the last couple of days it has decided it doesn't want to read bar codes any more. Have had wonder from my machine and from gevalia. March 26, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very dependable I have an original Tassimo when they were first out. Maybe 25-30 years ago. Use it every day. Except for it flooding about 3 times over the lifetime of the machine that's it. I figured it was something I did.??? February 18, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Tassimo Customer Service After 15 months of great coffee, one T-disc got grounds all over the disc holder area. I leaned it over the sink and used the faucet sprayer to clean it off. For some reason this must have caused a pump failure, as it continually tried to pump water, not even turning off when the water was empty. Tassimo's customer service rep tried some of the basic fixes, then said that they would send a warranty replacement exchange. This was even though the warranty had been expired by 3 months. Nice. They said the new brewer would be delivered within 4-6 weeks, but we received it today after about a week. Thanks for working to keep this customer, Tassimo! To those complaining about T-disk availability, Gevalia.com and Bed, Bath and Beyond stores and website are the only places I know of to get them. February 5, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by TASSIMO T55 To whom this may concern, TASSIMO T55 is legit! First brewing purchase I've made, and I have not been disappointed! Smooth and easy set up. I was bent between purchasing a Keurig vs a Tassimo. I did do some research and found that Keurig has a large variety of coffee "T-discs". Tassimo is limited, but on point with flavor! Also, I wanted to try something different, since most of my family and friends own a Keurig! The choice is yours! December 10, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by The product is so much better than my first Tassimo. I enjoyed a Tassimo from 2009 to the present and then decided to get e new one. My T 55 is great. I like everything about it- especially the temp of the finished product. I have only done decaf coffee and capuccinos to date but anticipate enjoying the other servings. I recommend the T 55 highly. October 24, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best home brewer out there Way better home brewer than any of the others I have tried. The product is fresh and not packed and powder. Its like a mini barista--the machine foams my milk! I noticed there is a filter on the disk which Kurig doesn't have... The hot chocolate is thick fresh syrup compared to the powder K-cups. Answer:
I have had three t55. I have cleaned every ounce of the machine including the bar reader and I get a 1/3 of the cup of coffee and then the machine locks up for over 30 min. It is a design flaw and it happens with all different types of coffee. I wish the would go back to the old machines that work.

I have encountered this issue when latte milk has dripped on top of the bar code reader. I just wipe across the bar code reader with a soft damp cloth or paper towel.

Answer:
Check the T-Disk for bar code placement...unless it's directly behind the tab on the T-Disk itself, it cannot be used in this machine....and you need to contact Tassimo for a suitable replacement.

Answer:
Try gently rubbing your thumb nail accross the bar code on the top of the t disc.....after the first occurrence of this apparent malfunction on my T55 (symptoms as described previously) this alleviated the problem. It appears that any undulation in the bar code area may yield it unreadable! To date, I have had only 3 such occurrences and this technique has resolved all successfully.

Why is this $20 more than the T55 at Bed Bath and Beyond? Is there a difference?

Thanks,

Answer:
Hi, I just purchased the T55 at BB&B yesterday (12/21). The $20 difference in Maryland was due to the brewer being on sale. Ended up paying $127 with sale and 20% off coupon.

Answer:
I think the only difference is the LCD panel. I spoke with Tassimo last week, and they told me that the T65 was being discontinued, so I went ahead and bought the T55 at Bed Bath and Beyond. I love it so much, I bought another one for work. And this is coming from someone who has been using k-cups for the last 2 years. You will love the T55. The filter is pretty cool too.

Hi, correction to my answer. Just opened our T55 and it DOES have a water filter (yay!). It doesn't have the LCD or cup light like the T65. Not sure on any other differences.

Answer:
I have the original Tassimo machine made by Braun and it is still going strong. The coffee sizes are pre-determined by the barcodes on the actual T-discs; however, you can add additional beverage by pressing and holding the center button (at least that's how it works on my machine). I assume the newer Bosch machines work similarly, but Tassimo will have to confirm.

The amount of coffee that is made varies per selection. The bar code will let the brewer know who much each selection makes.

Answer:
Because Tassimo brewers use an immediate heat feature, it can be convenient to use them to produce a quick cup of hot water (i.e. for bagged tea, hot cocoa, instant oatmeal, etc). I do this by using the cleaning disc in place of a standard T-Disc.
Two points to keep in mind:

1. Be prepared to press the stop button in order to stop the flow of water at the desired level. The barcode on the cleaning disc tells the Tassimo brewer to produce much more water than would be accommodated by a typical coffee cup.

2. Keep in mind that the purpose of the cleaning disc is to flush contaminants from the Tassimo brewer. Therefore, after inserting the cleaning disc, you will want to run a small amount of water (i.e. fill the cup 1/2 full) and discard this water before filling the cup for use. In addition to flushing the system clear, this also serves to pre-warm your coffee cup.
