Hello, Unopened boxes of Gevalia tea should be stored at ambient conditions in the home. At ambient conditions, unopened boxes of Gevalia Tea have a shelf-life of 2 years and opened boxes (where inner gold foil is re-closed after each use via rubberband, paperclip, or proper fold re-closure) have a useable life of six months.
For coffee Special precaution must be taken when storing to reduce the chance of oxygen and moisture coming in contact with the coffee. When you expose coffee to air, it begins to lose its freshness and develops unpleasant, stale notes. In the processing of Gevalia, we have spent millions of dollars to all but totally eliminate the effect of oxygen on the coffee. Before Opening, unflavored grounds would stay good for 15 months and whole bean and flavored grounds will stay good for 12 months. Once opened Grounds or Whole beans would stay good for 2 to 3 weeks in an air tight canister.
